MANILA: The all-new Honda BR-V, which launched seven months ago, is still making waves in the Philippine market. The all-new BR-V has been recognized as one of the best-sellers in its segment and has sold over 5,000 units so far, taking the top spot on Honda Cars Philippines Inc.'s sales charts.

This emphasizes the nameplate's exceptional qualities that have attracted customers, including its distinct SUV appeal, comfortable and versatile interior, powerful and fuel-efficient engine, cutting-edge technology, and safety.

The BR-V features a dynamic form with powerful lines running from the front to the back of the body and sporting that confident SUV look. The redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels and 207mm ground clearance of the second-generation model give it a more commanding presence on the road.

The interior of the BR-V is expertly designed to give all occupants a more comfortable and spacious environment. It now offers more headroom and legroom for passengers in all three rows thanks to its larger body.

With a greater cargo area, a flexible interior with one-touch tumble second-row seats, a dive-down mechanism for the third row, and seat height and steering-wheel adjusters for the driver, this seven-seater also is able to transport more. The VX and V variants come standard with leather seats, while the S CVT and S MT models feature high-grade fabric.

The ergonomically designed cockpit of the BR-V promotes convenience and comfort for the driver and passengers. It boasts an array of technological innovations, including a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen display audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Under the BR-V's hood is a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 121ps of power and 145Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT.

In 2022, the BR-V demonstrated excellent fuel efficiency on a fuel economy run in collaboration with the Automotive Association Philippines (AAP). The S CVT variant achieved a 22.62km/L fuel economy rating, while the V variant achieved 24.71km/L. Meanwhile, the VX variant achieved a fuel economy rating of 23.49km/L.

Further driving convenience is offered by the top-of-the-line VX variant as it comes standard with Honda Sensing, the brand’s advanced suite of driver-assist technologies.

Among the Honda Sensing features included in the VX variant are Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification System, Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Auto-High Beam.

Pricing for the Honda BR-V ranges from P1.09 million to P1.39 million.
