All-new Everest Leads Ford’s Success Run
MANILA: Philippines auto market has seen a significant rise in the recent past, thanks to awe-inspiring productions from the global automakers. Six months of this year have passed and it’s time for the companies to evaluate their performance. With CAMPI releasing the sales report few days back, it was pretty evident that Toyota isn’t losing on that top spot anytime soon. Contributing 43.4% to the overall market’s sales, this Japanese auto giant is a clear winner. Although, it sits high and tall at that spot, other auto producers have quite a few reasons to smile as well. This year has been fruitful so far for all the automakers as the market saw 27% rise as compared to 2015 for the same tenure. One such auto brand that has accumulated tremendous bookings this year is Ford. The American automaker has registered a 61% rise in the first six months of 2016 as compared to the same tenure of 2015, which certainly calls a celebration.
Major contributor to this success is the big beast from its stable, Ford Everest. Since January, a stiff fight was on between the cute EcoSport and sturdy Everest and guess what at the end of June 2016, Everest came out victorious with a total of 4780 units rolled out. With a total of 4356 units, EcoSport follows the leader contributing second best for the American brand.
Everest has proved its mantle quite a few times since its inception in the country last year. Challenging the likes of Fortuner and Montero Sport wasn’t a walk in the park but it marched like a warrior and to an extent it conquered the region. At the half year cycle, Fortuner has contributed to company’s sales nearly 7000 times while Montero Sport has been rolled out about 6000 times.
From a varied stable of Ford vehicles currently prevailing in the Philippines market, Everest has rose to the occasion in style setting an example for other stablemates that no matter how hard the competition is, if you got requisites that can impress the world then no power in this world can stop you from achieving big.
Following are the three major contributors to Ford’s success in the past six months.
- Ford Everest- 4780 units
- Ford EcoSport- 4356 units
- Ford Ranger- 3741 units
