Auto China 2024: GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T launched, to arrive in PH soon

BEIJING: Great Wall Motor (GWM) has launched the Tank 700 Hi4-T at Auto China 2024. 

The local arm of the Chinese carmaker confirmed that the said model (which will be sold in the Philippines in limited quantity) will make its way into the Philippine market soon. 

The GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T sport utility vehicle (SUV) is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that consists of a large-displacement multi-cylinder engine and a high-power P2 motor. The said setup delivers 516 horsepower with 800 Newton-meters of torque to propel the sport utility vehicle from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour under five seconds. 

Other notable features include its detachable stabilizer bar, active suspension system, mechanical four-wheel drive drivetrain, and a water-wading capability of 970 millimeters (mm). 

The GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T boasts tri-sealed side doors and a double-sealed tail door. It also gets 5 mm soundproof glass for its windshield, side windows, and small windows on the rear sides. 

Its cabin is fitted with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, which offers good-quality automotive audio and harnesses the soundproof glass of the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T. 

Aside from the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T, the Chinese carmaker also revealed the Haval H9, which will also be launched in the Philippines sometime soon.

GWM recently launched in the Philippines.  

A few months ago, GWM Philippines launched the Tank 300 SUV. At the Manila International Auto Show 2024, the carmaker’s local wing expanded its offerings by launching the Ora 03 electric vehicle.
