Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid comes in Mulliner, Odyssean versions

MANILA: Bentley Motors has officially launched the new Flying Spur Hybrid that features an ultra-modern third powertrain. This new model highlights Bentley’s commitment to become an end-to-end carbon-neutral brand and the world’s leading sustainable luxury car company.

The new Flying Spur Hybrid is powered by a 2.9-liter V6 gasoline engine and an advanced electric motor. The combined powertrain generates a total of 536hp and 750Nm of torque. The new Flying Spur Hybrid is the most efficient Bentley ever, as it is capable to cover over 700 kilometers when fully fueled.

The driver can select among the Flying Spur Hybrid’s three E modes: EV Drive, Hybrid Mode, and Hold Mode. The cabin is equipped with an infotainment screen that displays the flow of energy; an instrument panel that indicates the range, battery level, and charging status; a head-up display; and a center screen.

Bentley offers a wide range of individualization options for the new Flying Spur Hybrid. It is available in a highly deluxe Mulliner spec and in the form of the Odyssean Edition.

The new Flying Spur Mulliner is described as “the most luxurious Flying Spur to date” as it has been engineered and handcrafted by Bentley Mulliner. It is equipped with exclusive Mulliner 22-inch wheels with self-leveling wheel caps, a “Double Diamond” front grille, a chrome lower grille, bespoke Mulliner wing vents, Satin Silver-painted mirror caps, jewel fuel and oil caps, Mulliner illuminated outer treadplates, and deep-pile Mulliner mats.

The cabin offers a Mulliner curation of eight custom-made three-color combinations, all of which are complemented by accent color piping and unique Mulliner embroidery to the hand-stitched seats. The seats are designed with the “Diamond-in-Diamond” quilting, while the door is upholstered with three-dimensional leather. A brushed silver Mulliner clock serves as the centerpiece feature on the dashboard.

Meanwhile, the Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition takes inspiration from Bentley’s EXP 100 GT concept car. The car’s cabin features panels of beautifully crafted tweed made from 100% British wool, twisting a mix of tonal colors into a bespoke yarn to form a unique natural luxury textile. To stay true to its commitment to sustainability, Bentley used 90% less lacquer on the vehicle’s open pore Koa veneer fascias and waistrails.

The car’s center console is a minimalist Piano Linen veneer, while a three-color leather scheme gives the whole interior new depth. Available accents include a warm hide named Autumn, which can be specified to use Beluga, Porpoise, Cricketball, Brunel, or Burnt Oak leather along with light linen hide. Occupants are welcomed by a unique Odyssean Edition treadplate matched with exterior D-pillar badging.

The vehicle’s exterior finishes are available in six curated colors, all of which perfectly match with the Pale Brodgar accents on the 21-inch twin-spoke wheels, front and rear bumpers, headlight and tail light surrounds, and lower body side chrome.

The development of the new Flying Spur Hybrid proves that hybridization does not compromise a car’s luxury or performance. It shows how the combination of internal combustion engine and electric motor ensures refined serenity and utmost luxury no matter what the driving mode or style is.
