Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid makes European debut at Autoworld

MANILA: The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid has officially made its European debut at the 2022 Autoworld Museum in Belgium. Its launch is significant in Europe, where demand for electrified products had been incredibly high in 2021.

The new Flying Spur Hybrid is Bentley’s first electric sedan and most eco-friendly model to date. The car features a seamless integration of the internal combustion engine and electric motor, allowing for gradual serenity regardless of driving characteristics.

The Flying Spur Hybrid is powered by a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine and an innovative electric motor that jointly produce 554ps and 750Nm of torque — 95% more than the Bentayga Hybrid. The new Flying Spur is the most fuel-efficient Bentley ever, with a range of over 700 km when fully fueled.

At the 2022 Autoworld Museum, the Flying Spur Hybrid was joined by over 40 exceptional cars from the history of automotive industry. The Flying Spur V8, Continental GT Speed Convertible, and Continental GT3-R were among the Bentley cars on exhibit, showcasing the brand’s strongest product line in its history while also solidifying its place in automotive history.

The European public unveiling of the Flying Spur Hybrid, following the introduction of the Bentayga Hybrid, is a significant step in the company's Beyond100 strategy. As part of this strategy, Bentley has set a goal of becoming a carbon-neutral brand by 2030. The whole Bentley range will have an electrified drivetrain option by 2024, and the brand’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV) will be available in 2025.

While the Flying Spur Hybrid will reach our customers from April onwards, we are excited to hear the feedback from this first public appearance in Europe.”
