Bentley Flying Spur makes Robb Report Best Cars of the Year 2020 list
MANILA: US luxury-lifestyle magazine Robb Report has recognized the all-new Bentley Flying Spur as one of its Best Cars of the Year 2020. The ultra-luxury sedan landed in the 32nd Annual Best of the Best list of the media community.
Robb Report also mentioned in its official announcement that there will be only one model for every vehicle segment in Best Cars of the Year, and potential candidates are no longer determined. Among sedans, the all-new Bentley Flying Spur has been specifically singled out.
Along with the recognition that fast, able luxury sedans that are not as unique as anyone may think, Robb Report also stated that the real obstacle in this sector is providing a sense of allure.
Whispery isolation and increased efficiency are measurable, yet it takes an "artifice of intangible things" to establish visibility and a sense of opportunity. He also added that the all-new Flying Spur outshines at all costs and in all fronts.
In addition to the empirical capabilities of the all-new Flying Spur, Robb Report also explained that "the toniest of trappings" are present.
Cited specifically the three-dimensional leather quilting of the sedan and the rotating display of Bentley, which switches through analog gauges, a digital touch screen, or a wood veneer that complements its surroundings. The publication also settled on the idea that the sedan is a representation of the peak of modern luxury.
As it was first revealed during the second half of 2019, the all-new Flying Spur has reaped numerous awards, which include the Luxury Car of the Year. Bentley began producing the car in November 2019 at its facility in Crewe, England.
The all-new Flying Spur is considered the ultimate luxury touring sedan since it combines limousine-levels of comfort with its performance. From the ground up, this four-door vehicle smoothly incorporates the finest in British cars equipped with advanced, state-of-the-art features.
The all-new Flying Spur is the first Bentley model to be given an electronic all-wheel steering. This is blended with the Bentley Dynamic Ride, the first 48-volt electric anti-roll system, and an active all-wheel drive system to bring ultimate ride experience and handling.
Inside, the all-new Flying Spur is more emphasized through a new wing-themed fascia that links the rear and front spaces, and this establishes an entirely incorporated design. Moreover, the cabin integrates original, natural, and sustainable materials while acknowledging a range of new innovations.
The improved version of the 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged W12 of Bentley provides power to the all-new Flying Spur. This is mated to an advanced dual-clutch, eight-speed transmission for seamless and faster gear changes. The new engine also enables the vehicle to speed up from standstill to 100kph in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of about 350 kph.
