MANILA: ACMobility is set to further expand BYD’s presence in the Philippines with new dealer appointments recently.

BYD Philippines’ dealer partners that would manage the new dealerships are Peter Gaisano, Willy Chiongbian, Wally Alvarez, Harmony Auto, Mark Tieng, and Joseph Chng.Eyed to boost the adoption of electric vehicles in the country, the Ayala Corporation’s electric mobility platform shared that the aforementioned dealerships will be present in major cities and provinces such as Alabang, Cagayan De Oro, Cavite, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Lipa, Marikina, Naga, Pampanga, and Sta. Rosa — following the opening of the first four dealerships in Quezon City, Makati, BGC Taguig, and Cebu.
Per the Ayala-led distributor, the new facilities will be managed by the following dealer-principals:
- BYD Sta. Rosa: Peter Gaisano,
- BYD Alabang and Naga: Willy Chiongbian
- BYD General Santos: Wally Alvarez
- BYD Glorietta and Bacoor: BYD Marikina and Lipa: Mark Tieng
- BYD Fairview/Commonwealth: Harmony Auto represented by Miguel Palma
- BYD Pangasinan: Joseph Chng
“ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines are excited to welcome our new dealer partners in the growing BYD network,” ACMobility Head of Automotive Retail and Distribution Antonio Zara III said.
“BYD has four fully operational dealerships now, seven are currently under construction, and we just appointed another eleven. By the end of the year, we will have at least 22 BYD dealerships nationwide with more locations soon to be announced. We will grow BYD with the ultimate vision of accelerating the electrification of the automotive industry,” he added.
Meanwhile, ACMobility said that it will soon put up more charging stations in key locations around the country. To note, the company already has 48 charging stations in 23 locations nationwide.
“This ongoing expansion is not just about numbers; it's about the people behind them. It's about the passion, dedication, and shared commitment to driving positive change in our communities. Together, we are expanding our sales reach and amplifying our impact on sustainable mobility,” BYD Cars Philippines After Sales and Network Director Errol Dueñas said.
Locally, BYD offers four nameplates under its lineup: the Dolphin hatchback (which was the 2024 Top 3 World Urban Car of the Year Finalist and 2023 Japanese Electric Vehicle of the Year); Atto 3 subcompact crossover; Han sports sedan; and Tang mid-size sport utility vehicle.
