‘Diwata’ now proud owner of GWM Cannon

MANILA: Diwata Pares owner Deo Balbuena now drives a GWM Canon.

The official Facbook page of Great Wall Motors Philippines posted a photo of Balbuena standing in front of his new pickup truck. Another photo showcases him sitting behind the wheel of the versatile vehicle.

The photo was captioned “Para sa mga patuloy na bumabangon (For those who continue to stand).”

GWM’s Cannon pickup truck is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s range-topping model is also fitted with an all-wheel-drive torque-on-demand drivetrain system, which allows the humble hauler to put out as much as 161 horsepower with 400 Newton-meters of pulling power.

The GWM Cannon would most likely fit the needs of Balbuena since his paresan business might require him to haul meat and produce. Speaking of which, the cargo bed of the pickup truck is spacious enough for carrying various items that the “Diwata” could use it to boost his business while still enjoying spontaneous roadtrips when he is not working.

Other notable features of the GWM Cannon include LED lighting, a hydraulic-assisted tailgate, a seven-inch color instrument cluster, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather trims in the cabin, plus a host of active and passive safety features.

The GWM Cannon is priced from P1.248 million to P1.498 million.
