Ford Autonomous Entertainment System patented – A new era begins in the world of technology

MANILA: Ford cars is consistently floating into the news for some or other reasons. So, it has been just a couple of days when Ford Everest received maximum 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP, and adding another feature to its cap is the new Ford autonomous vehicle entertainment system. Ford is working on creating autonomous drives which it is going to present in a couple of years and now with this revelation of a highly advanced entertainment system, surely the American brand is thinking of presenting a class apart what other manufacturers can even think of. Before anyone else could bring up such a technology, Ford has already filed a patent for the Autonomous Vehicle Entertainment System which would be a part of autonomous drives only.

The giant drop-down projector screen of this new Ford autonomous entertainment system is a multi-tasking screen and would work as the information display, drive-in movie theatre and other aspects which are usually found on a conventional dash. The occupants just have to roll down the screen which is deployed at the top of the windshield and it's ready to use. A projector is plotted at the ceiling of the car to reflect the images on the screen. The entire entertainment facility would comprise of 2 controllers and 2 media displays which will work together to deliver the entertainment onboard.

As of now, the company has only taken the patent for the Autonomous Vehicle Entertainment System with its blueprint approved by the concerned department. The time it would take to bring this blueprint into a practical model is not revealed by the company so far but whenever it will happen, Philippines is surely going to get the privilege of having it. It's only January when Ford Philippines revealed that it has topped the sales for the 3rd consecutive year and is targeting on  capturing a bigger market in the coming years. With a proud sales figure of 22548 units in the year 2015, the company would surely strategize to shoot them by introducing more Ford cars with advanced technologies and the new Autonomous Vehicle Entertainment System is one such aspect to bring a boom in the Philippines automotive market.
