Ford Explorer: Full details
Ford Philippines gave the Ford Explorer a subtle facelift for the 2019 version. The Explorer has long been a road favourite, with a history spanning over twenty years. The new Ford Explorer is a far cry from its predecessors in the 1990s but it is still the same powerful crossover.
The automaker has long been competing with the Japanese pickup market here in the Philippines. The updated Ford Explorer is expected to meet this head-on, offering the 7-seater SUV as a competitor in the growing crossover market.
The 2019 Ford Explorer comes in two variants: the Ford Explorer 2.3L Limited EcoBoost AT and the Ford Explorer 3.5L V6 EcoBoost Sport AWD AT. The 2019 version didn’t deviate too much from the previous 2016 generation. Ford instead focused on cosmetic improvements, giving the Explorer to a more premium and stylish appearance with some minimal engine changes.
Due to having only minimal changes, they can be initially difficult to spot. Which is why we compiled this complete guide on everything you need to know about the all-new 2019 Ford Explorer.

The fog lamps which were originally C-shaped have also been redesigned and are now L-shaped. A black trim has also been added to separate the bumper from the fascia. The tailpipes are now also quad-exhaust pipes.

The design has also been upgraded to give the vehicle a more premium feel. Compared to its predecessor, the seats now sport a leather trim with heating and cooling capabilities.
