Ford F-150 pickup makes a comeback

MANILA: Ford Philippines is broadening its truck range in the country today through the world-renowned and iconic Ford F-150 pickup truck, a modern and robust full-size truck with a wide selection of features.

Ford introduces two F-150 variants in the Philippines, the F-150 4x2 Lariat SuperCrew AT and the F-150 4x4 Platinum SuperCrew AT.

The F-150 will roll out in Ford dealer outlets nationwide starting tomorrow, with an initial retail price of 2,998,000 for the F-150 4x4 Platinum SuperCrew AT and P2,698,000 for the F-150 4x2 Lariat SuperCrew AT.

The Ford F-150 belongs to the F-Series of the auto brand, which is the bestselling truck in the US for the 43^rd straight year and bestselling vehicle for the 38^th consecutive year. It establishes the international standard in trucks through its “Built Ford Tough” capabilities and configuration, innovative technologies, and powerful performance for safety and comfort.

The F-150 powertrain is fitted with the proven 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine of Ford with auto start-stop technology, which can produce 637Nm of torque and 375hp of power. This is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift to bring extreme power, refinement, and fuel efficiency. An Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) 4x4 system is also included on the F-150 Platinum variant.

The front tow hooks, 5.5-inch long box, LED taillamps and foglamps, quad-beam headlamps, daytime running lamps, high-strength aluminum alloy body, 20-inch alloy wheels, and body-color bumpers are standard on the two F-150 variants.

The Ford F-150 also has an array of safe and smart features that enrich the driving experience for passengers and drivers. It includes the Ford Co-Pilot 360, which is the safety suite of Ford consisting of lane-keeping system and auto-high beam headlamps, blind spot information system, adaptive cruise control (ACC), and pre-collision assist with autonomous emergency braking (AEB).

It also features 10-speakers with a Bang and Olufsen-powered subwoofer sound system, eight-inch productivity screen in the instrument cluster, 12V Powerpoint, and two smart-charging USB ports, a navigation system, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and Sync 3 with AppLink compatibility, eight-inch LCD touchscreen, remote tailgate release, and remote start system.

The F-150 is also equipped with driver-assist technologies (DAT) such as a reverse sensing system, rain-sensing wipers, trailer sway control, SOS post-crash alert system, hill start assist, curve control, active park assist, and 360-degree camera with split-view display.

Moreover, the F-150 elevates safety through innovative features and technologies like a perimeter alarm, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), SecuriLock passive anti-theft system, individual tire pressure monitoring system, front-seat side airbags and safety canopy system, dual-stage front airbags, and AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control).

On the F-150 4x4 Platinum AT exterior, there is an exclusive silver mesh satin-aluminum grille and tailgate appliqué. Aside from this, other features like the power deployable running boards, twin-panel moonroof, platinum emblem and high-gloss black B-pillar applique on fender sides, bright beltline moldings, tailgate step with tailgate lift assist, tailgate and door handles, and chrome side mirror caps are present on the F-150 Platinum variant.

Inside, the F-150 Platinum variant is equipped with metallic door sill inserts with Platinum branding, color-harmonized carpet flooring with superb floor mats, and ten-way power-adjustable front passenger and river seats with ActiveMotion massage function. It also has a leather-wrapped console lid and shift knob, distinct instrument cluster gauges, aluminum applique in console and center panel, and exquisite and unique leather interior with authentic black ash wood trim embellishments. The Platinum variant also has inflatable rear seatbelts.

The Ford F-150 4x4 Platinum variant has four exterior colors, which include Agate Black, Iconic Silver, Star White, and Blue Jeans. The Star White color variant, which is an exclusive color for the F-150 4x4 Platinum, can be availed for an additional cost of P15,000.

On the other hand, the Philippine-spec F-150 4x2 Lariat AT variant has been upgraded with the Sport appearance package, which includes Sport box decals, magnetic angular step bars, tailgate and door handles, side mirror caps, and a body-color grille with black mesh.

The interior of the Lariat variant also includes leather seats, media bin doors and lid, and an exceptional Lariat finish on the instrument panel.

The 4x2 Lariat variant also has four colors, namely, Agate Black, Iconic Silver, Oxford White, and Rapid Red.
