GAC GN6 arrives in PH, available for P100K off

MANILA: GAC Motor Philippines officially unveiled its newest model in the country, the GAC GN6. The launch was headed by Legado Motors Inc., the official distributor of GAC Motor in the Philippines.

The newly launched multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is motivated by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four Euro 5-compliant engine that delivers a power output of 170hp and 265Nm of torque. The powertrain is developed by Aisin Seiki, the world's biggest automatic transmission engine manufacturer.

To guarantee a powerful performance while maintaining its fuel efficiency, the engine comes with Bosch 200bar in-cylinder fuel injection technology. The GN6 has a fuel tank capacity of 52 liters and a recorded fuel consumption of 14kpl.

The GAC GN6 comes with front dual airbags and front side airbags to assure protection should the vehicle be involved in a collision. The vehicle is made with a high-strength steel safe chassis to lessen the crash impact. To further enhance the occupant's security, it is also installed with three-point seatbelts with alarm. In addition to this, the vehicle is also equipped with advanced safety technologies including electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), traction control system (TCS), hill ascend control, hill descend control, a rear view camera, parking sensors, electronic parking brake, and brake hold assist. As a family vehicle, the GN6 comes with Isofix child seat anchors to keep the children safe while on the road. It is gets an anti-theft system that includes an engine immobilizer and an alarm.

With its remote keyless ignition system, remote window, and sunroof controller, the driver can conveniently perform some functions even outside the vehicle. The sensor lock feature works when the key holder is located at least three meters away from the unit, while the unlock sensor activates from at least one meter away.

The GN6 comes with modern driver assistance features including the Bosch's latest ESP 9.3, which prevents oversteering at sudden cornering and unintentional lane change. The vehicle uses a 14-in-1 active safety system for uphill and downhill assistance.

For better handling, the GAC GN6 is built with an L-type MacPherson front suspension that can efficiently lessen high-frequency vibration.

The GAC GN6 exhibits a bold and sleek exterior look, which is accentuated by the GAC Motor emblem. The look is highlighted by wing-shaped daytime running lights (DRL), LED taillights, LED braking light strip (similar to GAC GN8), and 16-inch alloy wheels. The GN6 is available in three different body colors: Pearl White, Elegant Black, and Peacock Blue.

The GN6 measures 4,780mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,730mm tall. It features a 190mm ultra-wide second-row corridor that provides more space for an easier access to the third row.

The vehicle is built with a spacious interior that can accommodate enough room for seven passengers. The second row is equipped with captain seats and flexible armrests. The seats can also be adjusted to provide more legroom for the other passengers. The GN6 also provides a wide trunk space for up to 324 liters of luggage. This can even be expanded to 1,100 liters when the second- and third-row seats are folded.

To provide premium comfort and relaxation to its occupants, the cabin uses 360-degree Quiet Technology which. helps cancels ambient noise. Also adding to the vehicle's interior features are the seven-inch instrument display and the eight-inch infotainment display with Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with six speakers and cockpit controls on the center console.

For its introductory promo, GAC Motor Philippines is giving away a discount voucher worth P100,000 to customers who will pay a P50,000 reservation fee to purchase an all-new GN6. The discount will be deducted from the vehicle's retail price of P1,480,000. On top of the discount, every GN6 purchase also comes with a five-year/150,000-km warranty, whichever comes first. The promo runs from February 26 to March 31.
