GWM to make PH launch next month with Haval H6 and Haval Jolion

MANILA: Chinese auto manufacturer Great Wall Motor (GWM) entered the Philippine market with a sneak peek of its lineup at The Bellevue Manila in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

GWM is getting ready for the official launch of the Haval H6 and Haval Jolion next month, entering the most competitive auto segment in the country.

Luxuriant Automotive Group Marketing and Sales Director Tonette Lee stated that GWM offers a new experience through new energy, technology, and intelligence.

The Haval H6 and Haval Jolion, according to GWM, are real hybrids with the ability to deliver excellent performance while increasing fuel efficiency.

The Haval H6 and Haval Jolion share a cutting-edge platform that GWM independently created from a global perspective. This platform has excellent safety ratings, is lightweight, and perfectly fits with new energy powertrains.

Both vehicles were designed to offer a solution for both city driving and long-distance travel by combining a high-efficiency hybrid engine and a dual motor hybrid connection.

Four driving modes (EV, series, parallel, and regeneration) as well as their individual fuel consumption and driving profiles or capabilities are also made possible by the technology.

“The H6 matches a 1.5-liter turbo-charged internal combustion engine to a 130kW Dedicated Hybrid Transmission capable of producing a combined output of 240hp and 530Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Jolion uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated internal combustion engine mated to a 115kW Dedicated Hybrid Transmission capable of producing a combined output of 186hp and 375Nm of torque. The system results in smoother power delivery, better acceleration, reduced carbon dioxide emissions, and most importantly 35% to 50% of fuel savings,” Luxuriant Automotive Group Product Marketing Manager Fritz de Ocampo revealed.

Haval has been producing China's best-selling SUV for 12 consecutive years. Haval SUVs are also dominating the global market, achieving record-breaking sales figures.

In the Philippines, the Haval H6 is GWM's flagship model. The Haval H6 offers impressive technology and exceptional safety with its remarkable combined power output and torque. The Haval H6 provides true peace of mind while driving thanks to features that set the bar for their respective classes, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition and Fatigue Monitoring standard.

The Haval Jolion, on the other hand, is the brand's most innovative premium B-SUV. During the media preview, the hybrid variant of the Haval Jolion was unveiled.

The Haval Jolion is a vehicle that personifies smart ideas. It was inspired by bold architecture and perfected by modern engineering. It brims with smart features like a large multimedia touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging. The Haval Jolion has been developed with comfort in mind, from the driver-centric cockpit and ergonomic seats to the ample legroom and cargo space.

With an average low fuel consumption of 5 liters per 100km, the 1.5-liter hybrid variant of the Haval Jolion offers great efficiency and high performance.

Just like the Haval H6, the Haval Jolion offers a variety of cutting-edge driving and safety features, including the 360-degree Around View Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control, and class-leading level 2 autonomous driving capabilities.

After the preview event, GWM and Luxuriant Automotive Group took the media to a test drive event at the Batangas Racing Circuit, where they had the chance to drive the Haval H6 and Haval Jolion while learning about their special features and capabilities.
