Have a look at the 2019 Toyota C-HR facelift
MANILA: Just about two years old, the Toyota C-HR has already received a facelift. And while the updates may not be too significant, they do provide the C-HR with a little more spice. What’s better? The Toyota C-HR gets a TRD Sportivo Aerokit to enhance the looks even further.
On the outside, the C-HR gets new faux-skid plates thanks to the TRD Sportivo Aerokit. Looking at the bumper, we see redesigned corners and chrome garnish housing in the air-intakes on either end. The cladding on the sides of the C-HR is now bigger, thicker, and better. Moreover, the cladding on the quarter panels and fender now sits higher than before. The facelifted C-Toyota C-HR now rides on new 5-spoke alloys which are finished in a single-tone paint scheme.
Moving inside the subcompact crossover SUV we see the same interior as before. However, the infotainment system has received a significant update which enables it to have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The mechanical aspect also remains the same as the C-HR continues to feature a 1.8-litre mill which produces 140 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 171 Nm. Furthermore, you can also have the 1.8-litre mill in a hybrid package as well. However, the power figures of the same engine in a hybrid combination are down to 123 PS and 142 Nm.
Power delivery to the wheels is done by a CVT unit on both the petrol-only and hybrid variants. A 1.2-litre engine which is not sold in the region gets a 6-speed manual transmission, though. The presence of the Toyota Rush may not make it feasible for the Toyota to introduce the C-HR in the Philippines anytime soon.
