Honda PH Records 44% Sales Increase

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) sales showed a growth of 44% to 16,046 units from January to October when compared to the same period of previous year. As seen, this significant growth is indeed remarkable and HCPI attributes it to the strong market demand of its City, all-new Mobilio and HR-V.

The City remains HCPI's best-selling nameplate among its 13 vehicle models and has 46% share in HCPI's year-to-date sales with an 11% year-on-year growth. HCPI also plans the introduction of another variant of the City, the new 1.5 E-CVT Special edition early this month, exclusive for the Philippine market. The new City is equipped with UV cut glass windows for the front doors, speed-sensing Auto Door Lock System, a panic button, free Sharp Plasmacluster with Ion Technology, and new Ruby Red Pearl color for exterior beauty.

Another is all-new Mobilio which with only half a year in the market has already contributed 14% in HCPI's year-to-date sales. HCPI closed October sales with 506 units sold of all-new Mobilio. “We are pleased to inform our customers that we have already stabilized our stock situation. The All-New Mobilio vehicles are now readily available at any Honda dealership nationwide”, said HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara.

Taking into account the last contributor to this success, the all-new HR-V which has marked at 807 sold units since its debut in June. The car easily blends and balances career and active lifestyle. Further, Kuwahara added, “Our new models have significantly given the boost to our monthly sales. The market’s response towards our new product line-up is truly encouraging. It inspires us to keep focused on improving our competitiveness in the market through our product line-up and services.”
