Magtibay’s piece is mainly made up of discarded X-rays while Albano artwork takes inspiration from the wrappers of the Filipino delicacy pastillas. Pantua’s work of art features handwoven Yakan Clothing with tassels, and pearl beads.
Aside from that, the life-size applied sculpture of a reimagined Ioniq 5 is composed entirely of biodegradable and renewable materials such as sawdust, bamboo, rattan, and copper grounds.
In addition, New also has a display of wearable art called the “Carapace BioSuit”, which is made of reconstituted sawdust.
The installations were opened for viewing at the Mega Fashion Hall Activity Center until from April 26-28 and were moved to Artist Village at Camp Mariana in Jala-jala, Rizal. Camp Mariana is a sustainable farm with glamping sites and artist-owned properties, serving as a peaceful oasis for artists who want a quick escape from the city.
Further, a Hyundai Ioniq 5 was also displayed at the event, alongside the Creta, Custin, all-new Santa Fe, Stargazer X, and Staria.
