Hyundai Motor PH equips DSWD-NCR with H100 units
To ramp up agency's disaster response, support outreach programs
MANILA: Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated (HMPH) has handed over a pair of H-100 units to the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) National Capital Region (NCR) office.

The units were handed over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region office.In a statement, the Korean automaker arm in the country said that the aforementioned donated workhorses will be utilized as disaster response and management vehicles and in support of the various outreach operations.
Formally receiving the vehicles from HMPH President Dongwook Lee, Managing Director Cecil Capacete, and Chief Finance Officer Hongshik Chin last January 25 were DSWD-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Operations Miriam Navarro and Assistant Regional Director for Administration Benchie Gonzales.
“When Hyundai Motor Company shifted into a mobility solutions provider in 2019, it meant enlarging our roles as an automotive manufacturer. Since then, we have been pursuing innovative ways in which we can provide freedom of movement for the benefit of both people and the community at large,” Lee was quoted as saying.
“Earlier in the month, DSWD celebrated its 73rd founding anniversary. Please allow me to extend our congratulations. We, as Hyundai Motor Philippines, are thankful that we get to now be a part of continuing your mission as the country’s ‘compassion central’. We look forward to our ever-reliable H-100 becoming your partner in uplifting more Filipino lives,” he added.
Powering the Hyundai’s light truck offering is a 2.5-liter common-rail direct-inject diesel mill mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. The said powertrain combination can dish out a maximum of 128 horses and 255 Newton-meters of torque.
Offered in various bedliner options to meet the demands of customers, the Hyundai H100 is packaged with a five-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty coverage as standard.
