  • With the new Stargazer, Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. This seven-seater vehicle was created for Filipino families that are looking for a smart purchase that will accommodate their daily mobility needs and modern lifestyle.

    Hyundai Stargazer

The Stargazer's striking features are influenced by Hyundai's “pioneering spirit.” The front features a striking skid plate, a flush-type radiator grille, and distinctive multi-face reflector (MFR) headlights. A horizontal LED strip that runs across and includes the daytime running lights (DRL) and positioning lamps completes the fascia.

The Stargazer presents a single-curved silhouette from the sides. The sharp wheel arches and sleek body help reduce air resistance for better aerodynamics. Based on a stable body ratio, it has the longest wheelbase in its class (2,780mm) and has shorter overhangs, which contribute to a more spacious interior. It is designed to provide improved visibility and a feeling of openness with the inclusion of a PVC-fitted delta glass between the A-pillar and side mirror as well as the quarter glass melding towards the back. Moreover, it boasts 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and flag-type side mirrors that maximize the field of view while reducing wind noise.

The simple yet stylish rear bumper and rear skid plate highlight the Stargazer's wide stance and stability. The distinctive H-signature tail lamp, which covers the entire rear, completes the Stargazer's visual identity and high-tech appearance.

A customized interior complements the innovative exterior. “Modern furniture” elements combined with practicality replicate the comforts of home living. The Stargazer leads in terms of headroom, legroom, and shoulder room, making it easy to get in and out of or move around the second and third rows. Aside from being highly flexible, these passenger rows have slim seatbacks that, when fully folded down, create a wider flat loading surface for cargo.

A total of 31 storage spaces is integrated onto the dashboard, center console, seats, and door trims. These include the ledge under the front air vents, a movable cup holder guide for different beverage container sizes, the front row seatback table and pockets, and the luggage board that can be opened to better organize trunk items. These were carefully positioned to guarantee everyone onboard, whether on business or leisure trips, enjoy total convenience.

The Stargazer is equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT-LCD cluster with digital tachometer, speedometer, and fuel indicator. This is in sync with the Stargazer’s four drive modes: Eco, Smart, Comfort, and Sport. The vehicle also comes with an eight-inch touchscreen display with wireless phone projection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are two device holders and six chargers, one of which is a wireless power charger.

    Hyundai Stargazer

The Stargazer's driving capabilities have been tuned to the local climate and road conditions in the ASEAN region. The high engine output, precise handling, reliable braking, and top noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) ratings all attest to this.

The Stargazer is powered by a 1.5-liter Smartstream engine mated to Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT). It delivers 115ps of power and 14.7kg-m of torque.

    Hyundai Stargazer

Smartstream is Hyundai's next-generation powertrain line created for improved airflow, heat and friction control, more effective combustion, and lower emissions that helps manage fuel consumption. Meanwhile, iVT is one of Hyundai's flagship proprietary technologies and is designed to shift gears more quickly and smoothly while achieving better fuel efficiency.

The Stargazer also has handy features that alleviate potential accidents, such as Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), which blinks the brake lights in the event of emergency braking to alert vehicles traveling in the same direction, and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), which momentarily upholds force when the brake pedal is released after stopping on an incline to prevent the vehicle from rolling back.

The high strength steel used in the Stargazer's highly rigid chassis gives the vehicle excellent torsional stiffness, which helps reduce deformation during crashes. For even more protection, a six-airbag system (driver, passenger, side, and curtain) and Tire Pressure Monitor System (TMPS) are included.

The Stargazer also comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense, the brand's driver assistance system that ensures passenger and pedestrian safety. Hyundai SmartSense includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) that warns the driver if the system detects a frontal collision risk such as abrupt slowdowns or stops, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) that uses front-facing camera to detect lanes and notify the driver if the vehicle departs from its lane without using the proper turning signal and automatically steers the wheel to keep the vehicle in its position, and Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) that keeps an eye on blind spots while driving and alerts the driver through the rearview mirror.

Other Hyundai SmartSense driving safety features includes Safe Exit Warning (SEW) that delivers a cluster message and a notice by illuminating the side mirror warning light when a vehicle is coming up from behind while someone is opening the door, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) that monitors the driver's level of attention and issues a warning as a reminder to stay alert, and High Beam Assist (HBA) that switches the high beams to the low beams when the system detects an approaching vehicle on the other side of the road.

Hyundai Smartsense also includes Lane Follow Assist (LFA), which controls the steering wheel to keep the vehicle in its lane by using the front-facing camera to detect lane markers.

Hyundai Smartsense also comes with parking safety features such as Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) that uses radar to monitor rear blind spots and alerts the driver with an instrument cluster message, a warning sound, and the illumination of the outside mirror warning lamp, Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW-R) that utilizes an ultrasonic sensor system to detect obstructions behind and provides an audible warning when potential hazard is detected, and Rear View Monitor (RVM) that provides a live rear view while driving in reverse and shows the projected trajectory while backing up.

    Hyundai Stargazer

The Stargazer also comes with smart controls that allow the owner to remotely start the engine and open or close the windows from outside the vehicle by simply pressing and holding down the key's buttons.

Every purchase of the Stargazer comes with a five-year or 200,000km warranty.

The Stargazer comes in four colors: Creamy White Pearl, Magnetic Silver Metallic, Dragon Red Pearl, and Midnight Black Pearl.

It is available in three variants with the following prices: GLS Premium IVT (P1.218 million), GLS IVT (P1.128 million), and GL IVT (P998,000).
