Hyundai Tucson Grabs The J.D. Power 2016 APEAL Award
MANILA: Hyundai Tucson, the South Korean compact SUV, has loads of accolades and awards in its bag and now one more feather has been added to its hat by J.D. Power. The company conducts various studies and polls to find the best services, best cars in different segments and customer satisfaction. The most recent was 2016 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study for the U.S market and the results are astonishing but not surprising. The new Hyundai Tucson has been awarded as the most appealing small SUV in the 2016 APEAL StudySM where it was evaluated across 77 attributes ranging from power to comfort and luxury. The study included the owners' level of excitement and emotional attachment in/with this car and calculated it on a scale of 1,000 points. A similar report was released by J.D.Power for the customer service satisfaction where Mazda topped the list in the Philippines.
The report by J.D. Power reveals that Hyundai Tucson outscored all the other entries in the segment and performed exceptionally well in the seats, HVAC, visibility, driving, exterior, storage, fuel economy, audio/communication/navigation/entertainment and cabin categories to grab this prestigious award. Receiving the award, the Director – Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America cited, “We are Thrilled with the recognition of Tucson in this year's J.D.Power APEAL study. The new Tucson looks good, has two fuel efficient engines and a roomy interior that satisfies a wide range of SUV buyers. The team did a great job launching the all-new Tucson this year”.
