Isuzu D-Max XTR is dedicated to off-roading
MANILA: The affection of the population towards pickup trucks and exploring the unridden off-road trails with them has been on a constant rise. Addressing this growing love, not only the automobile manufacturers are introducing off-road ready pickups that can take on the trails, but they are also coming up with special editions of their existing vehicles that are more than capable of being your companion while off-roading.
Joining the fleet is the Isuzu D-Max XTR. The Japanese automaker has introduced this special edition D-Max in the UK at a starting price of £ 33,999 (Php 2,299,071). Speaking of the changes, the special edition D-Max boasts, first up is the Pedders suspension system that enhances the overall off-road performance of the pickup. Thanks to the updated suspension setup, the pickup is now has a ground clearance of 250 mm. The vertical wheel travel is further enhanced by the all-new front upper arms and dampers.
Other updates include 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels that are clothed with Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres along with new brakes. Looking at the Isuzu D-Max XTR from the outside, we see the thick black body cladding along with a revisited front bumper, blackened door handles,
wide wheel arches, updated rear bumper, and tailgate spoiler, all of which provide the special edition D-Max with a menacing appearance. The extremities of the Isuzu D-Max XTR kind of end up on the outside and under it as the cabin on the pickup is very comfortable and subtle.
The seats are wrapped in leather and also have suede inserts. The green contrast stitching gives the interior a refreshing appeal. Isuzu has also replaced the previous steering with a new flat-bottom unit which is also wrapped in leather and suede.
As we mentioned earlier, this Isuzu D-Max XTR is a UK exclusive and most probably won’t be offered in any other market. However, we hope Isuzu Philippines to take inspiration and bring out its own special edition dedicated to off-roading. It’ll be a win-win situation for both Isuzu and the pickup lovers in the Philippines who love to drive off-road.
