Isuzu mu-X and D-Max All Set For GIIAS
MANILA: It looks like Isuzu is not only working to expand its market share in the Philippines but, the neighbouring countries as well. The much acclaimed Isuzu mu-X has already played its role in promoting the sales of Isuzu in the Philippines and now the Japanese automaker is gearing up to gain the same response in Indonesia. GIIAS is about to begin and many automakers across the globe are set with their models to attract the visitors. In the same league Isuzu is also prepared with the facelift of mu-X and D-Max to grab the attention of the prospective customers in the upcoming show.
Considering the vehicles on the show, the mu-X has been granted with few changes in the front. Some of the notable ones are curved bumper with embedded DRL below the grille and prominent character lines on the side. Within the cabin, the ivory upholstery is the new change while the other standard features include multi-functional leather wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, Multi Information Display unit and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The other features like Hill Start Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Airbags are kept intact with the SUV.
Under the hood, mu-X will be offered with 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine with DLC-Coated fuel injection technology, delivering 136 PS maximum power and 360 Nm peak torque. Considering the pickup D-Max, there are some changes in it as well. The Isuzu D-Max has been bestowed with a refreshed and bolder look, highlighting the potential of the pickup in an effective manner. To compete with the other commercial vehicles in a smart way, the Japanese automaker has equipped Blue power engine within its pickup to deliver improved efficiency results.
The upcoming pickup version from Isuzu is the final result of the collaboration between Isuzu and Chevrolet, as both the manufacturers have decided to hold the car-based commercial cooperation within the region. Let’s see how these two vehicles will perform in the Indonesian market but for that we need to wait for the booking numbers from the upcoming GIIAS.
