It's a Porsche Recall, Macan S and Turbo Named Culprits
MANILA: Yes, you read it right. Even the best in class can do faulty thighs, which later needs to be corrected. The luxury car maker Porsche is recalling Macan S and Turbo cars from around the globe for what seems to be a fuel leak problem. Though no injuries or ill-happenings are yet reported, and the company doesn't favor to wait for the same. Thus, this call back is more like a precautionary measure by Porsche.
As for fact figures, Porsche is recalling 58,881 units of the Macan S and Turbo worldwide. Of these, 21,835 affected units are recalled in US and 3,490 in Canada. Details about the other units in terms of their origin of recall are not yet announced by the company. This 'purely precautionary measure' is done on account of a possible leak in the low-pressure fuel line in the engine compartment.
The said issue was discovered after a precise examination of complaints that was then immediately rectified. Porsche in its press release stated that it will contact the owners of affected vehicles personally and will fix them a workshop appointment as fast as possible. The rectification process will take about an hour with the entire cost covered by Porsche.
As for Philippines, no such memorandum has been issued by PGA Cars, the official distributor of Porsche in the country. Until then keep checking your car, and if you found anything unnatural, we suggest a service center visit.
