Jetour Auto PH joins CAMPI

MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) has joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI).

In a statement, the company became a member of the local automotive organization on February 1, 2024 — becoming the latter’s 15th associate member and joining 22 other brands.

Formalizing the membership was the recent meeting of CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez and JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose.

Gutierrez was quoted as saying that he sees JAPI’s potential and that the company could help achieve the group’s goals for the year.

“Our outlook for the industry is positive. We want to hit 468,300 (vehicles sold), maintaining the momentum of the nine-percent growth of the industry in 2023." 

For his part, Jose noted that the membership in CAMPI opens up even bigger avenues of growth for JAPI.

"Being a CAMPI member elevates JAPI's standing in an industry that is getting even more competitive. CAMPI is the country's most recognized organization in the automotive industry, and the world's most popular and trusted brands are either members or associate members. To become part of this illustrious group in an effort to reach an all-time-high industry sales mark of 468,300 units is an opportunity not to be missed," he said.

JAPI has confidently projected that it would grow its vehicle sales from 1,018 units sold in its first nine months of operations in 2023, to 3,700 units sold (including 700 electric vehicles) by the end of 2024.

The company is also expanding its dealer network for the year —from 5 to 10 in Metro Manila, and from 7 to 14 in the provinces.

Further, JAPI has also been invited to participate in the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS 2024) to be held from October 24-28, 2024 and is set to display their its lineup made up of the Jetour X70 Journey, Travel, Sport and Plus; Dashing; Ice Cream EV; and the limited-edition Dashing Symphony.
