Jetour Auto PH officially carries i-DM badge for electrified Dashing  

MANILA: The Jetour Dashing’s electrified version has officially carried the i-DM (intelligent dual motor) nameplate for its electrified version in the Philippine market.

Renamed as the Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM, the name was first seen at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April — identified then as the Dashing PHEV (plug-in hybrid).

Retailed in a limited-run fashion, the said model only had 10 units for the Philippines

In a statement, the Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) shared that the renamed offering is a pioneering PHEV packaged in a sleek and dynamic SUV.  As the name suggests, the Dashing Lightning i-DM is equipped with both an electric motor and a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline mill.

Such a combination allows the vehicle to cover a range of around 1,000 kilometers (km) — and 100 km in pure electric mode thanks to its 19.27-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery system.

To further boost its presence, the company got multimedia star and entrepreneur Camille Prats-Yambao to serve as the model’s ambassadress.

After signing up, the Filipino artist received her own Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM.  

Leading the contract signing ceremonies were JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose and Marketing Director Cherry May De Los Santos.

Camille expressed elation over the partnership that led to the acquisition of the said vehicle, which turns out to be her first personal vehicle.

“Having my first personal car is a big milestone for me,” Camille shares. “As a mom, I’ve always prioritized my family’s needs, and it’s about time I have a car that I can drive myself. The Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM isn’t just beautiful; it’s practical. I’m very excited to save money on gasoline, which is perfect for a mom like me who’s always on the go and values practicality,” she noted.

Meanwhile, JAPI claimed that the star “aligns perfectly with the Jetour brand’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and driving beyond limitations.”
