Let’s check out what the Kia Carnival’s newest trim offers to the Philippine market.
Exterior
Since it is an additional trim to the Kia Carnival’s local lineup, the new offering measures basically the same as its diesel-powered siblings. It is 5,155 millimeters (mm) long; 1,995 mm wide; and 1,740 mm tall — with a 3,090-mm wheelbase and 162-mm ground clearance.
Similar to the options, the new Carnival Turbo HEV wears the same aggressive design cues as expressed in the Tiger Nose grille but gets a pair of four-cube LED headlamps. It also comes with active aero flaps, and matte-coated 19-inch wheels.
Its rear kept the Star Map graphic LED lighting.
Interior
Meanwhile, the Kia Carnival Turbo HEV’s cabin has been engineered to provide “Everyday First Class” experience with its numerous comfort and technological amenities.
Welcoming occupants to its more-than-sufficient space is the special Navy Blue and Misty Grey color scheme, which is being introduced for the first time on the vehicle.
Sitting in the middle of the dashboard is the 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility that is mated to a six-speaker set-up.
Its driver gets to enjoy a multi-function leather steering wheel, 12.3-inch multi-information display, heads-up display, digital interior rearview mirror, and a rotary-style shifter — giving a more modern driving experience.
Other modern amenities inside the vehicle are the automatic climate controls, leather-covered seats (with power adjustment and ventilation functions up to the second row), a wireless charger and multiple 12-volt outlets.
Powertrain
Propelling the new Kia Carnival Turbo HEV is a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid system that has the capability to dish out 242 horsepower and 367 Newton-meters. Power is sent to the front wheels via its six-speed automatic transmission.
