Kia releases the ‘I Run For’ teaser for the Super Bowl 2020
MANILA: "Overcoming adversity" is the theme of Kia's brand new teaser "I Run For" that lasts 40 seconds and involves a kid answering a question like a mature and grown-up man. The Super Bowl is set to kick start on 2/2/2020, the Kia "I Run For" teaser sums up the automaker's message at the end the video with the video saying "Give It Everything". Moreover, the "overcoming adversity" themed teaser also hints at the 2021 Kia Seltos.
Speaking more of the video, we see a young kid attending a press conference and asking for the "First question". A reporter asks the kid, "What keeps you going out there?", which is then answered by the kid in the following manner:
"I run for my pops, the man who sacrificed so much, I run for anyone who’s ever doubted me, and for those out there living on white rice and ramen noodles. I run for those that think there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. I run to show them that there is".
As soon as we listen to the young kid's answer, it seems as if the words have been uttered by a very mature and fully grown-up man. This probably gives a hint of the message that Kia wants to give out via the video. Both Kia Seltos and the kid in the video are rather small, however, they possess the quality of being large in life and on the battleground.
The Seltos is a compact SUV with Hyundai Kona's platform. However, unlike Kona, the Seltos feature a lower ride height alongside a longer body and wheelbase. The South Korean SUV is already on offer in the Philippines and can be had in one of the LX, EX, and SX variants. The compact SUV features some of the more trendy and useful features like LED Headlights, LED DRLs and position lamps, large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system Apple Carplay and Android Auto support, black body cladding, stylish multi-spoke alloy wheels. It also has an array of safety feature including multiple SRS airbags, ABD with EBD, Cruise Control, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera that also gets rearview driving function.
Powering the Kia Seltos in the Philippines is 2.0-litre dual-CVVT Atkinson cycle petrol-fed engine that packs in as many as 147 horses. The power is then channelled to the front wheels via an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), which comes with Drive Mode Select. Philippines masses need to shell out Php 1 million to Php 1.5 million in order to themselves a Kia Seltos.
