MG PH updates ZS roster with refreshed trims

MANILA: Customers of the ZS now have more options to choose from as MG (Morris Garages) Philippines refreshed the crossover’s lineup.

The aforementioned nameplate is currently offered with two additional variants namely the MG ZS Luxury (Lux) and Comfort (Com). They will be retailed alongside the current variants such as the Alpha and Style variations.

Per the SAIC Motor Philippines-led distributor, the ZS features a redesigned front and rear bumper — with the fore wearing an Obsidian Matrix grille, flanked with LED projector headlamps with snake-light daytime running lamps and the back with standard LED tail lights. Giving the vehicle a sportier look are the 17-inch two-tone tomahawk designed wheels.

 For its cabin, the new MG ZS welcomes occupants with a full leather-style black interior with stylish red accents and panoramic sunroof.  It also comes with a 10-inch floating touchscreen that is Apple Carplay and Android Auto-ready. The driver, on the other hand, gets a flat-bottom steering and a digital instrument cluster.

Powering the new MG ZS is the familiar 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine mated to a continuously variable transmission with tiptronic function. Such combination provides the vehicle up to 112 horses and 150 Newton-meters of torque.

Meanwhile, the new MG ZS is outfitted with numerous driver assist and convenience technologies such as the electric parking brake with auto hold function and intelligent fog lamps for extra illumination when the vehicle makes turns. The model’s Lux variant is equipped with a 360-degree camera.

Available in Extreme Speed Red, Laser Blue, Electro-optic Orange, Blade Silver, Meteorite Black, and Moon White, the new MG ZS can be had at the following price points:
