MANILA: MG Philippines participates at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023 with a vibrant and engaging exhibit that highlights its latest products, showcasing its youthful energy and rich UK heritage.

The MG Philippines booth at MIAS 2023 is called “MG Central,” which alludes to a centralized area for everything MG-related, where MG's illustrious past meets its dynamic present and offers a glimpse into the brand's exciting future. The theme of MG Central is “Powered by the Past, Focused on the Future,” showcasing how MG's history fuels the steps MG has made to advance the future of mobility.

Ingeniously divided into three parts, MG Central shows how MG has changed throughout time. Visitors can learn about the significant milestones that MG has achieved over the years in the historical section of the exhibit, which also includes a classy coffee lounge and seating area. A vintage 1969 MG B GT, one of MG's most valued roadsters from the past, is also on display in this section.

Located opposite the historical section is the area that showcases MG as it is today — modern, stylish, and dynamic. There is a large graffiti wall symbolizing the youthful spirit that drives the MG brand, as well as a “London Tube” where visitors may visualize themselves being transported to the place where MG was founded. MG SUVs featured in this section are equipped with outdoor camping gear from Outdoors Club, highlighting the versatility of MG.

At the center of the MG Central exhibit is an area dedicated to MG's promising future. This features the newly unveiled 2023 MG GT sport sedan and 2023 MG ZS Nite Edition crossover SUV.

MG GT

The 2023 MG GT, the MG Philippines' newest model, is svelte, sporty, and cutting edge. The 2023 MG GT offers Filipino drivers a vehicle that will challenge their ideas of what a sedan can and should be, living up to its product tagline “Live to Defy.” By delivering impressive power figures, large exterior and interior dimensions, a comfortable interior, advanced safety technologies, and modern driver convenience features, the 2023 MG GT defies the stereotypes typically associated with many subcompact sedans by providing Car-C specifications and features at a Car-B price.

The 2023 MG GT is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that generates 161ps of power and 250Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic (TST) transmission with paddle shifters. This expertly refined engine gives the 2023 MG GT speed and agility off the line and accelerates it from 0 to 100kph in about 8.5 seconds.

The 2023 MG GT's sporty features continue from the engine to the exterior, where angular body accent lines and a fastback profile emphasize the car's dynamic stance. The aggressive front fascia of the 2023 MG GT is defined by a 3D Digital Flaming Grille that is surrounded by full LED headlights and daytime running lamps. The rear end of the 2023 MG GT is designed with 3D LED Racetrack Tail, a ducktail accent on the trunk, and a split exhaust.

The 2023 MG GT comes in two variants: the Alpha priced at P 1,015,888 and the Sport priced at P1,193,888.

MG ZS Nite Edition

The MG ZS is the brand's best-selling model in the Philippines, consistently accounting for the majority of the MG Philippines' annual sales volume. The MG ZS has appealed to many Filipinos due to its combination of trendy looks, ample cabin space, a fuel-efficient engine, and an outstanding value proposition.

MG Philippines introduced the 2023 MG ZS Nite Edition, a model refresh that puts an aggressive and sporty spin on a fan favorite that is even more feature-packed.

The 2023 MG ZS Nite Edition is designed with blacked-out Stardust Grille, trim, and alloy wheels. The dark accents add to the vehicle's already appealing sporty look and give it an edgier appearance that looks terrific day or night.

Tech features were also added to the 2023 MG ZS Nite Edition, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, six speakers, and a power liftgate.

The 2023 MG ZS Nite Edition retails for P1,018,888.
