Mitsubishi Philippines to conduct safety inspection for its pickups

MANILA: After the infamous mileage defect found by Nissan in Mitsubishi manufactured cars, it seems like the brand has taken all the necessary steps to regain its lost loyalty in the market. We are not talking only about the home of the manufacturer but, globally instead. Few days back the manufacturer handed over its flagship model Montero Sport in the UK lab for testing and now the news is coming from the Philippines division. The Mitsubishi Philippines has announced that it will conduct a free safety check-up of its pickups which includes L200 and Strada.

Till date, there are no reports of any sort of issue in the said models but, as an act of proactiveness, MMPC and MMC both have decided to conduct this safety check-up to ensure consumers' protection. The particular check up is conducted for the airbag inflators for L200 and Strada and the company has urged its customers to check the official website if their vehicles are in the list of affected vehicles. The manufacturer has issued a vehicle inspection number for all the suspected vehicles manufactured between 2007 and 2014.

If you found your vehicle included in the list of affected vehicles, then it is advised to head towards the nearest dealer and initiate the inspection process. The whole inspection and replacement process may take around an hour and customers may call their preferred dealer to book an appointment. All the dealers nationwide will be available to attend the said inspection queries from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm.
