Nissan PH reveals refreshed Terra VL variant
MANILA: Nissan Philippines welcomed the new year with the debut of the upgraded Nissan Terra VL variant at a recent digital media thanksgiving event.
The updated variant of Nissan's well-renowned mid-size SUV in the country features an improved interior and exterior.
The debut is in line with the company’s commitment to Filipino customers to produce trendy and innovative vehicles that are thrilling to drive.
For its exterior, the design modifications include gloss black door handles and door mirrors, gloss black front bumper and fog lamp accents, and a gloss black front radiator grille.
It also features gloss black alloy wheels, gloss black side steps, and a dark chrome rear license plate finisher. Such features contribute to the bolder presence and more athletic look of the vehicle.
The updated variant is also fitted with dual-tone leather seat trims and dark chrome accents.
Aside from these stylish updates, the Nissan Terra VL variant also includes a suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility advancements on the Nissan Advanced Display Audio.
The launch of the upgraded Terra comes following the retail sales reports from both the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors, Inc. and the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc.
Nissan in the Philippines emerged as one of the top three auto brands in the country, concluding 2020 with an 8.9% market share.
The Nissan Navara pick-up remains the top-selling model of the brand, which accounts for 42.1% of the brand’s total sales.
The Nissan Urvan and the Nissan Terra were also strong sellers, representing 23.6% and 17.9% of the year’s total sales, respectively.
Nissan Philippines also levels up this 2021 as it formally unveils its local newsroom, which will accommodate all foreign and local news that the public can conveniently access here.
In addition, a media gallery features images from brand-related stories, activations, and events. The newsroom will become the news hub of the auto brand where all of its newest stories will be shown.
According to Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima, “In 2020, we explored and executed innovative ways to reach our customers by introducing more digital and online solutions. We were also able to reach out to our communities through our donations to the Philippine Red Cross and to our medical frontliners, as well as partner with the Department of Tourism to advocate the revival of the Philippine economy. There may be challenges in this new year, but with the safety of our employees, partners, customers and communities on top, we are ready to take them on with a renewed spirit of boldness and daring the impossible."
