Nissan unveils special edition Terra S at PIMS 2018

MANILA: On one hand, Honda is all set to begin producing the BR-Vs in the Philippines itself, Nissan is busy customizing their models in the country. Starting off with the Warrior X, a heavily customised version of the Navara, Nissan now has brought out a modified Terra and has named it the Terra S.

Not sure what Nissan actually meant by adding that S at the end of Terra, because if it meant ‘sport’ by any means, the modified Terra S doesn’t look sporty in any world. The fog lamps from the front bumper have been removed and a grille takes their place. Considering the fact that the radiator used the space for air intake, the decision to cover the grille is debatable.

Some accents here and there and all-new 20-inch alloy wheels give the Terra S a fresh look. The new paint scheme which indeed looks good is claimed to be customized with a brush metal hue on the body. But a closer and detailed look gives an impression of a wrap opposed to a custom paint job.

There is quite a lot of leather inside the cabin of the modified Terra. The unique quilted pattern on the seats akin to the high-end cars. There is also Terra embroidered in black on the head-rests, along with S as well, in red though.

The on-sale Terra in the Philippines comes with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder, DOHC, Variable Turbocharger (VGS) with intercooler that produces 190 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 450 Nm. There are 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission options available. The modified Terra or the Terra S is likely to feature the same specs as well.

And similar to the Warrior X, all the customization of the Terra has been done locally in the Philippines.
