Premium BAIC M60 launched at Php 998,000

MANILA: BAIC Philippines have now revealed their new premium MPV, the M60. This MPV was revealed at the ongoing Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2018. The M60 is larger than the M50S MPV which was revealed last September along with the BJ20 SUV. The new BAIC M60 though larger and longer than the sporty M50S is still a 7-seat vehicle. Reason being the new BAIC M60 is a more premium MPV and has a distinct look as compared to BAIC’s other MPV’s, like the M50S.

M60 commands more presence with its large, bold grille which is flanked by large projector headlights. To improve nighttime visibility, the M60 gets powerful fog lights as well. Rugged look is provided by the black plastic body cladding that covers the entire length of the MPV. Stylish 17-inch wheels make the design look more attractive. Wrap around taillights and an integrated diffuser fitted on the rear bumper complete the M60’s whole look.

For the interior, the M60 gets plush black and white leather seats. Just above the air-con vents at the centre is a large infotainment screen positioned to give the dashboard an upscale look. Creature comforts include push-button start/stop, a reverse camera, a keyless entry, and multi-function steering wheel controls. M60 also gets safety features like ABS+EBD and dual airbags that are part of the standard equipment.

Powering the exclusive BAIC M60 MPV is a Euro-5 level 1.5-litre turbo gasoline engine producing 135 PS and is mated to a smooth Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) powering the rear wheels. This rugged crossover styled MPV though premium looking is offered at a very affordable price which starts at Php 998,000.
