Red Dots to Sportage and Optima - Kudos to Kia

MANILA: Just a couple of days ahead of 24th edition of the Manila International Auto Show, automakers across the world are running head over heels to bring their respective fleets together at the stage. While the customers don't go just after the brand value and look for the utility, style and comfort factors now, the fact is making some renowned brands insecure and so in order to stay in the competition, regular improvisations and advancements are executed. Customers are now more inclined towards designing factor of the vehicle which could show-off the style statement of its owner with pride. In this series, Hyundai has already shown its might by fetching the Red Dot Design Award 2016 for its IONIQ in a grand ceremony.

Hyundai is not the only brand which is conscious about its image and working day & night to deliver what the customers expect from it. Its sister entity Kia is also following the same footsteps and making the South Korean auto fraternity proud by grabbing some more accolades in the bag. Kia Motors has successfully snatched 2 awards from Red Dot Design committee for keeping high standards in designing and creativity. The award-winning drives from the house of Kia are Optima and Sportage 2016. Kia Sportage, though, is in from some time in the international market but was launched recently in the Philippines and was well received by the prospective customers and critics with an appreciation for its revamped looks and advanced technology. Guess, this is the key reason for grabbing such a coveted award!

The latest Kia Optima has been selected as the 'Best of the Best' award winner which is awarded only to the car with distinction in designing and showing best of the creativity without hampering the comfort and convenience of the occupants. The newly launched Sportage crossover also impressed the jury with its styling and technology making it to the list of the honored cars this year which is indeed a big success to celebrate for Kia Motors. This is not the first time when Optima and Sportage have been recognized by Red Dots and it would be safe to say that the history has been repeated by both of these drives which shared the Red Dot Design award ceremony in the year 2011 also.

Sharing the joy with the media, an authority from Kia Motors stated after the ceremony, “The two award-winners are among the bests in the Kia fleet and we are proud of creating and offering them to our customers. The Sportage has been recognized as among the bestsellers in Europe for past many years while the Kia Optima is considered as a strong model in its category. Both of these cars feature a premium interior, completely redesigned exterior and ‘clean-looking’ design in their latest avatar which impressed the jury and forced them to award.”

Well, we believe that the hard work and innovation have been well paid off. Kudos to Kia, enjoy the honor!
