Scenario, if Honda BRV comes to Philippines- Video
MANILA: Honda BR-V, a new name for Filipinos is basically an entirely unique offering from the Japanese giant, Honda. This car has its own interesting tale where even after falling in the crossover segment, the car has 7 seats for passengers. Whoa! That's like combining SUV utility with Crossover design trends. Well, thus the car creates its own segment and is soon to be seen on Indonesian roads in January as in the recent auto show of Indonesia, the car was showcased by its makers. the Honda BRV launch date is not confirmed yet for the Philippines but since it is revealed in Indonesia, let us give a glimpse of the uniqueness of the car.
The exterior reflects robust structure with a lot of chrome detailing. The striking feature includes pronounced fenders, chrome roof-rails, wide front grille with angular head lights and expanded tail lights. Enough to get a head turn and if not then the interiors also make the heart ponder with premium upholstery, decent entertainment system with touchscreen and navigation facility. The power is all dependent on a 1.5-litre gasoline engine producing 117 bhp and 145 Nm in combination with manual or CVT transmission. The safety of BR-V is well equipped with ABS, EBD, 2 Airbags, Brake Assist, and traction control.

How Honda BRV will Do here!!!
The car has a lot more and truly has a potential also to sail well in the Philippine market as the country is a flood prone area and SUVs really make sense in sailing on waters on roads here. As the Honda BRV price is expected to be very affordable, the Honda BR-V has a potential to win Filipino hearts in all these ways.
- The ground clearance of over 200 mm which makes it a high and safe ride in the country like Philippines.
- Even after falling in crossover category, the space is ample for 7 passengers.
- The power figures are quite impressive
- The exterior and interior designing are very appealing where especially the dashboard is inspired by Honda City and Jazz and the steering wheel is influenced by Honda Brio.
- The maneuverability or easiness to drive is appropriate with its size.
Why should Philippines Get the Chance!!!
Well, no doubt Honda has a bright image in Philippines and this car will definitely get the advantage of the image. Secondly, the car is first of its kind, unique in its segment. Therefore the competition is absolute zero wherein Honda should not delay at all in availing the first mover advantage. But, the twist is that it might end up murdering its own sibling. Yes, the BR-V is based on the same platform as Honda Mobilio and therefore with its introduction, the chances are bright that the fan following gets shifted to BR-V from Mobilio.
Can our beloved Toyota counteract and how?
Definitely Toyota should counteract and come up with its new Innova before Honda launches its BR-V here. The older version of Innova has done brilliant in the markets of Philippines and therefore the success chances of it are bright with altogether new features and capabilities.

Honda always keep the prices competitive and the Honda BRV price is also likely to keep it as other cars in their shade. So, the fight is tough and the fight is between siblings; the Japanese auto brands. Rather it is all about thinking first than your competitor and thinking strategically.
