Suzuki Auto PH might launch its first electrified model at PIMS 2022
MANILA: Suzuki Auto Philippines revealed that they are planning to introduce their first electrified model at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in September after conducting market research to determine which model to release first.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is powered by Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid technology, which is composed of a 1.5-liter K15B engine, a lithium-ion battery, and an integrated starter generator.There are already a few new hybrid models in Suzuki’s global lineup. These include the hybrid versions of the Vitara and the Ertiga. The Ertiga Hybrid just made its world debut last April and its ASEAN debut last June.
Although Suzuki Auto Philippines General Manager did not reveal which model will be electrified during the PIMS press conference yesterday, he hinted that it will reinforce the brand’s standing as a manufacturer of fuel-efficient vehicles.
The Indonesia-spec Ertiga Hybrid comes in two variants: GX and SS (Suzuki Sport). It is powered by Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid technology, which is composed of a 1.5-liter K15B engine, a lithium-ion battery, and an integrated starter generator (ISG). The hybrid MPV produces 104 ps of power and 138 Nm of torque.
The Ertiga Hybrid features a new grille, new alloy wheels, and new backdoor garnish with a chrome insert. It is also equipped with auto headlight with Guide Me Light, fog lamps, LED high mount stop lamp, and LED rear combination lamps with light guide. It comes in seven exterior color options: Brave Khaki, Silky Silver, Burgundy Red, Mellow Deep Red, Cool Black, Pearl Snow White, and Metallic Magma Gray.
On the inside, the Ertiga Hybrid comes with a new meter cluster with a full-color multi-information display, head unit eight-inch touchscreen, ventilated cup holder, and second-row armrest. The SS variant is also equipped with a leather steering wheel and red stitching on the fabric seats.
In terms of safety features, the Ertiga Hybrid is equipped with dual SRS airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, hill hold control, and parking sensor. A rear parking camera is also standard in the SS variant.
In Indonesia, the Ertiga Hybrid comes with a five-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty that covers the lithium-ion battery.
Pricing starts at IDR 270.3 million (approximately P1.022 million) for the GX variant and IDR 281.3 million (approximately P1.063 million) for the SS variant.
