Suzuki PH to launch Vitara with AllGrip technology tonight
MANILA: Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH) will officially launch the new Vitara AllGrip tonight at 6 p.m. The subcompact SUV is positioned as a reliable companion of young and dynamic professionals in their daily drives.
In a statement, SPH Vice President and Automobile Division General Manager Keiichi Suzuki said, “Ever since the new look of Vitara was launched in the Philippine market, we have seen enormous support for the model. One of the iconic models of the brand, this newest 4x4 vehicle provides individuality, stylish looks and added confidence on the road. This car will definitely encourage people to drive and bring more fun into their lives.”
The new Vitara AllGrip combines the brand’s SUV lineage with new concepts and modern technologies. This new model is manufactured and assembled in Suzuki Hungary. It now comes with AllGrip technology, an infotainment system with clinometer function, and an array of personalization options that will give each unit a unique character.
Suzuki chose to keep the Vitara’s traditional clamshell bonnet in the front to maintain its authentic design. It is designed with smooth roof lines to achieve better aerodynamics. For a more contemporary look, it is also equipped with energy-saving LED headlamps, uniquely shaped daytime running lights, and a vertical chrome grille.
On the inside, the new Vitara features quality craftsmanship and advanced technologies that provide premium comfort and driving satisfaction on and off the road. The instrument panel comes with a muscular console that includes a round clock and a round air outlet. The cockpit also features a U-shaped shift knob that gives the cabin a rugged look.
The cabin also comes with a panoramic sunroof with two glass panels that can be both slid to open. Just like most Suzuki subcompact SUVs, the new Vitara also comes with spacious luggage space (375 liters).
Additionally, the cabin is equipped with a 10-inch infotainment system with smartphone linkage function. The clinometer informs the driver of the vehicle’s position in terms of pitch and roll angles. Other remarkable interior features on the new Vitara are the light system and dimming rearview mirror, rear camera, and keyless push-start system.
The Vitara AllGrip is powered by a 1.6-liter engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shift. It features Suzuki’s AllGrip technology, an ideal concept of 4WD that enables the driver to feel confident in any driving situation. It offers four drive modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock.
To guarantee the protection of every occupation in the event of a collision, the new Vitara is equipped with six SRS airbags. It also comes with additional safety features including hill descent control, hill hold control, brake assist function, and electronic stability program.
The exterior parts of the Vitara are composed of impact-absorbing structures that will help mitigate the chances of severe injuries if ever the car comes into contact with pedestrians.
The Vitara AllGrip is now available in all Suzuki dealerships nationwide with a suggested retail price of P1.458 million for monotone variants (Galactic Gray and Cool White Pearl) and P1.468 million for two-tone variants (Prime Solar Yellow with Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic and Solid Bright Red with Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic).
