Suzuki XL7: What to expect
Just a few days back, Suzuki Philippines announced the introduction of the Suzuki XL7. It’s based on the Japanese car maker’s popular Suzuki Ertiga multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with minor variations that give the XL7 its own unique character. And speaking of character, this seven-seater mid-size lifestyle vehicle is outfitted with a slew of fixtures that make it look rough and rugged amidst its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) roots.
The Suzuki XL7 sports a tougher look and a more aggressive demeanor with its thick black under cladding coupled with vertical taillights reminiscent from that of the Suzuki Ertiga. It’s also outfitted with a skid plate and several accents that exudes a bold, robust, and dashing personality. It’s geared to face tough competition as the local subcompact SUV segment is chock-full of staple nameplates pitting the up-and-coming Suzuki XL7 against the likes of the Nissan Juke, the Honda BR-V, and the Toyota Rush.
Care to see how the new Suzuki XL7 might fare against these household names? Here are some of the things to expect from Suzuki Philippines Incorporated's brand-new mid-size SUV.
Suzuki Philippines’ all-new Suzuki XL7 SUV Reserve Now Promo
For those wanting to drive home an all-new Suzuki XL7 straight from the dealership, a special reserve now promo is rolled-out by Suzuki Philippines in hopes to attract more prospective car buyers. Aimed towards modern Filipino families, the Suzuki XL7 is offered with a reservation fee of ₱5,000 and is available at authorized Suzuki dealerships nationwide. At the time of writing, the reservation promo will run from the 1st to the 18th of March 2020 where approved customers are to see the release of the XL7 sometime around the 30th of April 2020. Those who took advantage of the reserve now promo are entitled to a ₱30,000 discount as well as a deduction of the reservation fee paid in advance.
Moreover, those who took-up the reserve now promo will be prioritized by the dealership they signed-up with in terms of vehicle allocation.
Robust exterior
The Suzuki XL7 may share the same DNA as the Suzuki Ertiga MPV. However, its exterior fittings were designed and engineered to define the XL7 as your new go-anywhere midsize SUV and not your mother’s minivan. The robust XL7 is equipped with a pair of quad chamber LED reflector headlamps at the front with integrated LED daytime running lamps to complement the aggressive-looking headlights. It offers a commanding presence with its boldface and front fenders paired with a sweeping cross-bar with chrome trims improving its solid and robust design. It’s further accentuated with a pair of front and rear skid plates which adds to the Suzuki XL7’s masculine appeal. At the back, you’ll find 3D rear lamps coupled with a light guide that the Suzuki XL7 inherited from the Ertiga.
Because the Suzuki XL7 was made to be more than just a daily driver, it’s outfitted with roof rails to carry that extra luggage during weekend trips outside of the Metro. To complete the sophisticated rebel look, the Suzuki XL7 is equipped with chrome door handles and a set of two-tone alloy wheels. Truly, the all-new Suzuki XL7 is made to look like it can take you to the office during the weekdays and brave new adventures during the weekends.
Elegant interior
The Suzuki XL7’s cabin is a contrast to what it offers from the outside. Stepping in, you’ll be greeted by a black and gray finish bestrewn around the cabin’s interior. The seats are garbed in black, which means it’ll catch stains less frequently, but more importantly; it gives an air of elegance and sophistication. You’ll find accents of gray adorning the headliner and the pillars of the Suzuki XL7’s interior. You’ll also find sliding armrests in the front and second-row seats while all the seats get adjustable headrests.
Trusted engine
The Suzuki XL7 is outfitted with the Japanese automobile manufacturer's 1.5L K15B engine shared by other popular nameplates like the Suzuki Ertiga and the Suzuki Jimny.
This only means that you can trust in the Indonesian-made Suzuki XL7’s power, reliability, and durability.
Conclusion
The all-new Suzuki XL7 looks to be a solid competitor in the local automotive landscape. It’s currently being offered in a single variant and sells for ₱1,068,000.
