Take home the 2019 Mitsubishi Strada at Php 960,000

MANILA: Mitsubishi, the Japanese auto giant has finally pulled the covers off the 2019 Strada in the country. Following the global reveal in Bangkok last November, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has launched the popular pickup in the Philippines now.

Produced in the Laem Chabang facility in Thailand, the Strada is sold in around 150 countries across the globe. The pickup also gets different names like Triton and L200 in different regions.

The 2019 Mitsubishi Strada will be available in seven variants to choose from, namely GT 4WD A/T, GLS 4WD M/T, GLS 2WD A/T, GLS 2WD M/T, GLX Plus 2WD, GLX Plus 2WD M/T, and GL 2WD M/T. Featuring the Dynamic Shield grille, the all-new pickup boasts the “Rock Solid” design language by Mitsubishi. On its 40th anniversary, the new Strada looks quite modern thanks to the design cues it has taken from the Xpander.

On the front, the pickup houses a slimmer pair of headlamps above the larger ones residing in the bumper. This is a similar setup to the Xpander. Moving to the rear, the taillights are similar to those on the Montero Sport, another sibling from the automaker.

Including the soft-touch surface inside, the pickup is also said to be equipped with a new dashboard, premium materials, new features, and a lot more. On the mechanical front, the 2019 Mitsubishi continues to feature the 4N15 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel motor which is good enough for 182 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 430 Nm.

Mitsubishi has also made some revisions in the chassis and suspension departments to provide the user with better ride quality. The brakes have also been upgraded and the units at the front now feature 2-piston callipers.

Standard safety features across the lineup include Active Stability Traction Control (ASTC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA). Other safety features available with the pickup are Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Change Assist.
