These Kia K2500 Plus variants are biz enablers

MANILA: To further support the transportation needs of Filipino business ventures, Kia Philippines offers the Kia K2500 Karga Plus Protect and K2500 Kargo Plus.

For over 40 years, the Kia K2500 has been a reliable partner for small to medium-sized enterprises and even large businesses. It offers a wide range of variants that suit different kinds of businesses, including the ones that started in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since most companies have shifted to a work-from-home setup, most employees have moved out of their places in the metro and went back to their home provinces. The K2500 Single Cab & Chassis and Closed variants have been used by full-service moving companies to make packing and transporting easier.

The pandemic has also urged more Filipinos to work on home improvement projects. The K2500 Single and Double Cab Dropside are commonly used for hardware and construction material hauling. These variants are also in-demand for plant suppliers as more Filipinos are becoming plantitas and plantitos.

The K2500 Karga can serve as a people mover that transports frontliners and workers in cleaning businesses, while the K2500 Kargo can be used for delivery services of smaller business like laundrymats, water delivery stations, and food preparation companies.

In 2020, Kia upgraded the K2500 Karga and Kargo variants to Karga Plus Protect and Kargo Plus. These two variants feature a high payload capacity of 1,235kg. They come with an additional leaf spring and a ground clearance of 54.5cm to ensure that products are safely transported, and services are fulfilled, whatever the road condition is.

Both K2500 variants are powered by a 2,497cc inter-cooled turbocharged engine that generates 130ps at 3,800rpm and 255Nm of toque between 1,500 and 3,500rpm.

To help observe proper physical distancing, the Karga Plus Protect is equipped with 1.5mm PVC dividers that can tolerate frequent sanitation. The dividers can be installed on any Kargo model without any drilling or modification on the vehicle.

The Karga Plus Protect also offers a spacious and flexible interior that can accommodate up to 16 people (nine with physical distancing protocols). It is also equipped with an infotainment system and a powerful rear aircon to ensure that the passengers are able to enjoy a comfortable ride no matter how long the trip will take.
