Yulo receives brand-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro

Carlos Yulo now has two brand-new sport utility vehicles following his historic two-gold medal achievement at the 2024 Paris Olympics after receiving a Tiggo 7 Pro from Chery Auto Philippines (CAP).

Formally turning over the brand-new silver-colored example to the two-time gold medalist were United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) Chairman Rommel Sytin, Group Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin, as well as UAAGI Chief Marketing Executive and Senior Vice President Lyn Buena.

Apart from the vehicle, CAP shall accord Yulo a free lifetime oil change and vehicle safety check-ups alongside the standard three-year free preventive maintenance schedule, free roadside assistance, five-year or 150,000-kilometers bumper-to-bumper warranty, 10-year engine warranty.

Tiggo 7 Pro specifications

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro measures 4,500 millimeters (mm) long; 1,842 mm wide; and 1,746 mm tall with a 2,670-mm wheelbase.

Exterior features include the panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and integrated load-bearing roof rail.

Inside, the Olympian and its passengers will be welcomed by a pair of digital displays (with the infotainment system mated to a six-speaker set-up), electronically-adjustable seats, a four-way adjustable power steering wheel, and dual-zone air-conditioning system. Its trunk space can carry 475 liters-1,500 liters depending on the configuration of the seats.

The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a continuous variable transmission. The powertrain can deliver up to 143 horses and 210 Newton-meters. Assuring driving stability are the Macpherson Independent suspension at the front and multi-link independent-type at the rear.

In addition, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro’s disc brakes on all four wheels facilitates its deceleration and halting.

Its myriad of safety features include anti-lock brake system, N95 air cabin filter, six airbags, cruise control and speed limiter, electronic child safety lock, and hill descent control.

To recall, CAP also awarded Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio a brand-new Tiggo 2 crossover, which she named McQueen.
