Mitsubishi Adventure- A Vehicle of Pride
Ruling the hearts of Filipinos since its inception back in 1997, this Mitsubishi MPV has been around from quite some time now. Offering the people of the Philippines with something extra that too at an affordable price tag is exceptional work done from brand’s counterpart. Lots of cabin space, ample of storage spaces and a decent performance, which defines the Mitsubishi Adventure. 18 years of pride, celebration and joy accounts for the MPV which has stayed strong and tall against all odds. Competing against the likes of Toyota Innova and Isuzu Crosswind isn’t a walk in the park but Adventure has done this in style. Prevailing in the country from 1997 to 2016, the Adventure has impressed a lot of people, probably not with its style and design but surely with its economical performance and price tag.
The amazing run of Adventure has continued for 18 years in the Philippines contributing enormously to the company’s sales. Back in 2014, Mitsubishi rolled out the 100,000th Adventure with enticing deals and discounts. Selling a vehicle more than 100,000 times in a country isn’t an easy task, but brand has achieved this feat as well. Popular among taxi drivers and shuttle services, the Adventure had challenged the world’s leading auto producer, Toyota. Although, it couldn’t outclass the quality and performance of Toyota Innova but it certainly managed to win hearts of the Filipinos.
Satisfying the urge of owning a decent MPV of the locals in the Philippines, Adventure has undergone few transformations as far as its styling is concerned. 2009 has been marked as the year of facelift for Adventure while it had received minor transformations in 2001 and 2004. The variations in the design were highly appreciated by the people and its fantastic run in the country continued.
Powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder SOHC diesel engine, it offered proficient numbers that could satisfy the Filipinos big time. The engine is capable of pumping out a max power output of 74.8 PS at 4200 rpm along with a peak torque of 149 Nm at 2500 rpm. There are currently five variants of the Adventure that are on offer for the customers to grab. The variants are TX, GX, GLX, GLS Sport and Super Sport.
Things about Mitsubishi Adventure that have enticed the people of the Philippines are its decent performance, affordable price tag, low maintenance, strong and tough body structure and simple aesthetics. These are the things that have enthralled the country’s taxi drivers to own an MPV that has traveled a long way.
