A four-ton boulder hits Hyundai Tucson, couple came out unharmed

MANILA: Hyundai has always been known for offering some really durable and reliable cars and the automaker itself has boasted about the quality of its cars more often than not. However, self-proclamation has harmed a few automobile manufacturers in the past but that is not the case with the South Korean automaker,

though. An accident in Taiwan that included a Hyundai Tucson is doing rounds on the internet and glorifying the quality and reliability Hyundai provides its customers with.

On many occasions, we encounter road signs saying “Falling Rocks” and don’t pay any sort of attention to them. The reason being, those rocks don’t fall every day, right? But calamities don’t prompt you before happening either. On May 24, something similar happened with a couple from Taiwan that was driving in a Tucson along Hualien. While they were passing by a mountainside, a boulder slipped and approached the Hyundai Tucson.

There was no possibility of stopping sliding boulder, which weighed somewhere around 4 tonnes. Eventually, the boulder collided with the SUV wrecking the windshield, fender, hood, and the front pillar. Thanks to the Advanced High-Strength Steel structure of the Tucson, the SUV did not face any major breakdown and kept its shape intact saving the couple.

Even after the car was hit by a four-ton heavy boulder, the couple walked out of the car unharmed and praised Hyundai for producing durable and reliable vehicles. After the automaker itself came to know about the incident, the automaker itself praised its engineers for making such a great SUV.

“This car has saved our lives, and we are ready to buy another Hyundai”, said the coupler after coming out safe from the accident. While there are already many SUVs in its lineup, the South Korean automobile recently launched another crossover, the Venue, in India. We hope the Philippine market gets its fair share too.
