With this program, Ayala Land reinforces its commitment to sustainable and responsible property development with the activation of 20 electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations across seven cities in Luzon.
These 22-KW AC and 60-KW DC fast chargers will soon allow EV users to fully charge their vehicles as fast as one to two hours, depending on vehicle used. This is in keeping with the company’s thrust and long-term commitment toward carbon neutrality and alignment with the global and local directive to shift to electric vehicles.
"Today marks a special milestone for us at Ayala Land. We are launching over 20 electric vehicle fast-charging stations across seven cities in Luzon – this is the largest roll-out yet of EV charging stations in the country," said Bobby Dy, Ayala Land President and CEO.
"We are expanding this program to more key locations, energizing sustainable transport faster and further in the years to come," he added.
The EV6 is Kia’s first car to be based on the company’s dedicated new platform for battery electric vehicles (BEVs). It is also the recipient of the European Car of the Year 2022 Award and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
“Seeing the EV6 in an actual charging hub, and being shown how it will be fully supported by a charging architecture, will further cement trust in electric vehicles,” Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada stated.
“Through this, we want to further inspire the car-buying public to explore a cleaner and more sustainable form of transport. The arrival of the EV6, and the Ayala Land Electric Vehicle Charging Hub, are proof of our commitment to an electric future.”

This range is noteworthy since the Ayala Land Charging Hubs that will be installed across Luzon will be placed in key locations to guarantee that EV users would have access to charging stations nearby.

Currently, the charging hubs use 22 KW AC and 60 KW DC fast chargers (for One Ayala) with Type 2 and GB/T connectors. For vehicles that do not have Type 2 and GB/T connectors, the chargers can still be used with a proper adapter. Currently, these charging hubs are a free service to EV owners.
At the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) held last September, Kia Philippines introduced the EV6. Sales of Kia EV6 will begin in early 2023. According to Kia, its price will go below P4 million.
“Today, we begin our deliberate participation in the Electric Vehicle market as we move into the inflection point. Our event now is not simply another model introduction but also signifies Kia’s commitment to realizing our social responsibility through our 3S activities – sustainable mobility, sustainable energy, sustainable planet,” Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada stated during the event.
“Sustainability is a future not just for Kia as the Ayala group has committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This is a guideline Kia believes in and is a focal point in our business. Sustainability is our move to protect the greatest source of inspiration, nature,” Aligada further explained.
The Kia EV6 has a fresh visual identity that mixes sculptural shapes and daring artistic elements to express natural energy. The new visual identity at the heart of the EV6 design employs strong stylistic cues and sculptural features to express a sense of natural energy.
The EV6 is a prime example of electric power and human-centered, futuristic design. The distinctive and notable design will decide Kia's future. Numerous awards were bestowed upon it, including the 2022 iF Design Award and the 2022 Red Dot Award.
A sleek and aerodynamic design with crossover influences can be seen in the side profile. A character line extends from the bottom of the doors up towards the rear wheel arches, dramatically extending the car's profile.
In order to achieve the best aerodynamic performance, the rear has a sloping C-pillar with an integrated black glossy insert that appears to stretch the window glass.
The car's distinctive rear light cluster is topped by a raised lower spoiler, and above this is a noticeable wing-style roof spoiler that guides air in a downward direction toward it. The impressive 500-plus kilometer range of the Kia EV6 is significantly impacted by this.
The flat under-floor battery gives the Kia EV6's interior more space and versatility. Kia's dedicated Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) has a major positive impact on the interior design. Despite having a compact body, the Kia EV6's 2,900mm wheelbase gives it a cabin that is comparable to that of many midsize SUVs.
Kia EV6 is powered by a fully-electric powertrain that includes a high-voltage battery pack and a 168kW electric motor. It produces 350Nm of torque and can accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in 7.3 seconds.
Kia’s booth at this year’s PIMS showcased “Movement That Inspires.” In 2021, the new Kia movement and the company's new tagline were introduced in the Philippines. Kia is getting closer to fulfilling its objective of having 50 operating dealerships by the end of 2023 with the opening of many new shops throughout 2022.
In addition, Kia's sales rose by 76% between 2020 and 2021. Kia has established itself as one of the nation's fastest-growing automobile brands with a 30% year-over-year performance for the first half of 2022 and is on target to maintain this growth through the rest of the year.
