BYD set for car display, test drives at Rockwell Power Plant Mall

MANILA: BYD will have the Rockwell Power Plant Mall’s North Court Area starting tomorrow up to the end of the week for its display and test drive activity.

Organized by BYD Greenfield (one of the dealers under ACMobility’s dealership arm Iconic Dealership Incorporated [IDI>) the mall display brings BYD’s highly sought-after full-electric vehicle nameplates closer to the public.
“BYD’s presence at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall, one of Metro Manila’s premier shopping destinations, is a testament to the commanding presence and superior build quality of its electric vehicles,” Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of IDI Bob Palanca was quoted as saying.
“As the first all-electric vehicle brand to be welcomed inside this prestigious mall, BYD now shares this exclusive space with other luxury automotive marques that exude quality, craftsmanship, and technological excellence. We invite the public to visit the BYD display at the Power Plant Mall this weekend to learn and experience the benefits of electric vehicle ownership firsthand,” he added.
BYD Han, Tang features
Part of the Chinese automaker’s Dynasty series, both the BYD Han and Tang exude luxury, quality, performance, and safety.
The electric sedan features crystal streamer headlights, futuristic rear lights, and sporty and aerodynamic design that boasts a 0.23 drag coefficient.
Inside, the car is outfitted with Nappa leather, European wood, and space-grade aluminum switches. Seated at the middle of the dashboard is the 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen and a complementing rear seven-inch touchscreen.
Comfort while inside the cabin is assured, thanks to the marque’s intelligent damping body control system (DiSus-C), that cuts vertical, lateral, and longitudinal motions.
Moving the vehicle are front and rear electric motors with intelligent electric all-wheel drive that lets the vehicle accelerate 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 3.9 seconds and can provide up to nearly 509 horsepower and 700 Newton-meters of torque. Its battery gives it a range of as much as 521 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards).
Meanwhile, the BYD Tang blends style, power, and efficiency and guarantees a premium interior comparable to premium models.
The seven-seater electrified sport utility vehicle is tailored with a plush knitted leather interior, coupled with a panoramic power sunroof and other luxury features such as front-row seats with ventilation and massage functions, three temperature zone air conditioning system with independent middle and rear controls, a 12-speaker Dynaudio premium sound system, heat and sound insulated windows, intelligent voice control, wireless charging, and a PM2.5 air purification system.
The vehicle is powered by dual electric motors with an all-wheel drive traction system that lets the vehicle run 0-100 kph in 4.9 seconds.
A full suite of DiPilot advanced driver assistance systems are infused in the BYD Tang, which includes a windshield head-up display, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, traffic sign recognition system, front collision warning, predictive collision warning system, automatic emergency braking, rear collision warning, front crossing traffic alert, forward collision traffic brake, rear collision traffic alert, lane departure assist system, lane keeping assist, lane change assist system and traffic jam assist.
Further ensuring customer safety are the proprietary Blade Battery Technology fitted in both models. Its lithium iron phosphate chemistry and its unique array construction makes it an ultra-safe battery with ultra-strong structure for durability as well as ultra-long range and lifespan.
