Geely Okavango gets upgraded trim, Urban Plus

MANILA: Geely Philippines (Sojitz G Auto Philippines [SGAP>) widens its selection of high-quality crossover SUVs with the recent launch of the newest Okavango variant, the Geely Okavango Urban Plus.

The Okavango Urban Plus is driven by a 1.5-liter turbo engine, similar to the one motivating the Urban variant. The new variant still features three seat rows which may be configured in 19 different ways. It boasts 42 cabin compartments, and a triple-zone air-conditioning system with CN95 filter.

 

Geely described the variant as “wonderfully distinct even more” as it carries several upgraded features including a 60-inch panoramic sunroof with rainfall sensor, adaptive drive beam (ADB) matrix LED headlamps with four lights modes, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with multimedia functions.

The launch was led by SGAP President and CEO Mikihisha Takayama (in photo below).

Meanwhile, in his speech during the launch event, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) Executive Vice President Yosuke Nishi stated, “For SGAP, it will all be about moving forward and cautiously beefing up the game this year. We will further reinforce our product lineup for this year starting with the introduction of the Okavango Urban Plus variant and a few more updates and another model in the second half of the year.”

The Geely Okavango Urban Plus has a retail price of P1.478 million.
