Meet the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 by Mopar
MANILA: With the demand for off-road dedicated 4x4s and pickups on the rise, the automakers are leaving no stone unturned in order to benefit from the surge and make merry by offering mouth-watering off-roaders to the trail fanatics. With that said, welcome the newest boy on the block, the all-new limited-edition 2020 Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 by Mopar. The thirst quencher for the off-road devotees wears a plethora of Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) and will be displayed at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show this weekend.

We loaded the Jeep brand’s iconic rock crawler with factory-backed and quality-tested, authentic Jeep Performance Parts specifically designed and engineered to tackle the toughest conditions", said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts, and Customer Care for FCA–North America.
The off-road dedicated limited edition comes based on the four-door Jeep Wrangler and sports JPP steel tube doors, new mirror kit, Durabull®-coated JPP rock rails, powder-coated JPP steel front bumper with D-rings for extra towing capability, skid plate, JPP Rubicon Winch with 100 feet of WARN® Spydura synthetic rope, JPP Swing Gate Hinge Reinforcement, JPP CHMSL (Center High-Mount Stop Lamp) Relocation Kit, and high-strength full-aluminium doors. All the abovementioned quality-tested parts and accessories from the JPP portfolio provide the limited-edition Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 a full-blown off-road 4x4 that can take you to the yet to be unearthed trails and sites without a fuss.
But wait, there's even more as the Wrangler JPP 20 also gets the Trailer-Tow and Heavy Duty Electrical Group that comes with four auxiliary switches, a high-capacity 240-amp alternator, and a Class II hitch receiver with four- and seven-pin adapters. Customers can have the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 in either Ocean Blue or White finish. Also, there are some optional elements on offer like American flag hood graphic, blacked-out fender vents and fuel door, JPP graphic decal on the passenger-side quarter panel, and laser-etched forged-aluminium JPP badge on the driver-side fender and rear swing-gate assembly.
On the inside, the limited-edition Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 gets the fourth-generation Uconnect® system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Furthermore, other elements present inside the 4x4 off-roader include a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, luxurious Katzkin Tuscany leather seats with embroidered JPP logo, Mopar all-weather floor mats, rigid sidewalls and advanced reservoir systems, Mopar Cargo Tray Kit, and much more.
On the mechanical front, there are three different engines on offer -
- 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine making 270 hp/400 Nm and equipped with Engine Start Stop (ESS) or mild-hybrid eTorque-assist technology
- 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 engine generating 260 hp/600 Nm and equipped with Engine Start Stop (ESS)
- 3.6-litre Pentastar® V6 engine that produces 285 hp/352 Nm and equipped with Engine Start Stop (ESS) or mild-hybrid eTorque assist technology
As the for gearbox, all three engines offered come mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. According to the official report, the Wrangler JPP 20's production will be limited for the 2020 model year, and the order books will open in the second quarter of 2020. Moreover, official prices will be revealed later in time.
