  • What powers the MG One?

The MG One is powered by a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine mated to continuous variable transmission.

  • The internal combustion engine-powered sport utility vehicle (SUV) from the SAIC Motor Philippines-led company is packed with numerous technologies.

    MG One

It is said to be the first model to be developed under the SAIC Intelligent global modular architecture (SIGMA) platform, which is a new generation of vehicle architecture that pushes the limits of automotive design and development.

“The SIGMA platform’s flexibility is capable of combining more than 100 kinds of high-value modules, which can create a variety of models in future MG vehicles that could meet the evolving needs of different customers,” the company said in a statement.

    Dimension

The MG One is 4,581 millimeters (mm) long, 1,871 mm wide, and 1,617 mm tall with a 2,670 mm wheelbase.

For its side profile, the vehicle comes with plastic claddings that provide rugged look, flowing character lines, and flared rear quarter panel.  It sits on 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in either 225/55 or 225/50 tires.

At the back are the high-mount stop lamp and triangular taillamps as well as the roof-mounted spoiler and the rear diffuser that further the vehicle’s aerodynamics.
