MIAS 2019: Jeep launches 2019 Wrangler Rubicon at Php 3.99 million

MANILA: At the MIAS Wired 2020, Auto Nation Group (ANG), the official dealer of Jeep vehicles in the Philippines has finally brought the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the country.

The 4x4 is a perfect treat for the Filipinos who are looking forward to wandering in the trails this summer. At the launch, officials like ANG president Felix R. Ang; chief operating officer Francis Jonathan C. Ang; Isaac Yeo, country head for the Philippines; and others were present.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon comes with two engine options. First of the lot is a 2.0-litre in-line turbocharged four-cylinder gas-fed motor that makes 272 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 400 Nm.

The other mill available is a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 capable of producing a maximum power of 290 PS and 353 Nm of peak torque. Both the aforementioned engines are coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission unit that delivers the power to the wheels.

What makes the Wrangler Rubicon more special is the Rock Trac 4x4 system along with Tru-Lok locking differentials. Other amenities which have made their way to the Rubicon include front & rear steel winch-ready bumpers, skid plates, and front & rear tow hooks. The vehicle rides on 255/75 R17 tyres.

While the Wrangler Rubicon looks a rough and rugged 4x4 from the outside, the story inside is completely different as the cabin is very comfortable and features all the latest tech that one would ever need like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The prices for the different trims of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon are as follows:

• 3.6-litre V6 four-door - Php 4.39 million
• 2.0-litre turbo four-door - Php 4.49 million
• 3.6-litre V6 two-door - Php 3.99 million
• 2.0-liter turbo two-door - Php 4.09 million
