New Jeep Wrangler Trailcat Dubbed as an Off-Roader From Hell
Manila: One of the most popular off-roading events across the globe, the 50th Easter Jeep Safari 2016 is set to take place between the 20th and 27th of March. To raise public anticipation for the event, the iconic American adventure vehicle brand has unleashed their latest monster the Jeep Wrangler Trailcat along with 7 other concept off-road vehicles. The new Trailcat has been brought straight from the deepest pits of the manufacturer’s workshop and looks totally monstrous. The wheelbase of the vehicle has also been increased from that of a regular Wrangler, which the manufacturer suggests was done in order to fit the new drivetrain.
The new off-roader by Jeep is powered by a massive Hellcat V8 engine that is usually seen in muscle cars and provides the vehicle with an ungodly power that literally destroys any obstacle that comes its way. The 6.2-litre Hellcat V8 produces up to 707 horsepower that totally fits the menacing looks that its designers provided the vehicle with. Although it retains most features of the regular Wrangler model, the latest Trailcat looks far more imposing with its 39.5-inch crawler tires, stainless steel bumpers and lowered windshield. The standard doors have also been replaced with more sporty looking ones that complete the off-roader aesthetic and makes getting in and out of the vehicle far more convenient. The seats too have been replaced with the same racing bucket seats as the Dodge Viper, and get 4-point seatbelts.
Apart from its stunning looks and an engine straight from satan’s workshop, the Jeep Wrangler Trailcat is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and Fox shock-absorbers to further enhance its off-roading capabilities. We have already seen a tremendous response for the Jeep Wrangler, which will also be soon available in a pickup variant. Since the new Trailcat has only been presented in its concept avatar, it would certainly be interesting to see a production version off-road vehicle with such menacing upgrades.
