MANILA: Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has officially launched the all-new CBR500R which comes with new advanced safety features.

    This sports bike now has an inverted front suspension with Showa 41mm separate function fork big piston (SFF BP) for improved control and a sports riding experience when turning or braking from a high speed. It also comes with lightweight five-spoke sporty wheels that provide excellent running performance.

    A negative-display LCD meter is also installed on the all-new CBR500R for convenient access to all necessary information while on the road. It displays dual trip meters, fuel level, consumption gauges, gear position, and shift-up indicators. The motorcycle also features all-LED lighting for the headlamp, taillight, and turn light to improve visibility and safety, reduce engine wear, and give the big bike a sporty look.

    The all-new CBR500R is also equipped with a 296mm dual-disc front brake with a radial-mount caliper for strong braking power, a two-channel anti-lock brake system (ABS) for confident braking in emergency situations, a slipper/assist clutch to reduce lever effort by 45%, and an emergency stop signal (ESS) to alert vehicles behind during sudden stops.

    Honda CBR500R

    The CBR500R is powered by a Euro 5-compliant 471cc liquid-cooled four-stroke DOHC parallel twin engine that churns out a maximum power output of 35kW at 8,500rpm and a torque of 43.2Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine has a fuel efficiency of 28.6kpl.

    The all-new CBR500R is available in two colors: Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. It is now available at all Honda Big Bike dealerships nationwide with a retail price of P364,000.
